We are the premier plasterers in Liverpool, and we will take on any project. Walls or ceilings, rendering or floor screeding, damp proofing or Artex removal, we have no limits. If its plaster, we'll do it.

Our team is here for you. We have all the skills and expertise you need for any project. We are true masters of the art, and we don't use that term lightly. No job is too big or too small. We can plaster a housing estate, or a downstairs loo, an office block or an attic conversion. Whatever you want, we have the mastery to complete it.

Sometimes, having the very best service is too expensive for the average person. Not the case at Plastering Liverpool. Our prices are always competitive. We promise they will be fair and reasonable. Get a handful of quotes and compare them, you'll see how competitive we can be. Already have some quotes ? Let us know, and we'll see if we can match them. We'll do our best to beat anyone, although we will never sacrifice quality. No corner cutting here.

Cutting corners never works. And with plastering, cutting corners always shows. Lack of preparation. the usual way money is saved, gives a substandard result. Good preparation is absolutely vital in all plastering work. Poor preparation also means the job will not last long, and will eventually need doing again, with more expense. Cost cutting always costs more in the long run.  If you can afford quality, always take it. You'll never regret the best.

Let us know your requirements and budget, and we can give you a free no obligation quote. We will always make recommendations to save money, if its possible, as long as quality and durability doesn't suffer. We are fully aware times are hard in the UK, and Liverpool is no exception. We are an integral part of the community, and we love our city. We will look after you, and give you the best possible service. If we look after our customers, they will look after us. That way, the whole community will grow and flourish. And that's what we all need.

So what can we offer ? Here is a look at the materials we most commonly use, so you know what we are talking about, when we discuss your project.

Gypsum Plaster
We all love Gypsum plaster. You've got it on your walls right now. Its tough and durable, and when correctly applied, it'll last for decades. Its the most popular plastering product in the UK, by far.

Gypsum plaster is a natural product, made from Calcium Sulphate. Being natural, its vapour free, giving off no nasty fumes. It has thermal insulation properties, so will save you money in heating bills. Its fire proof too, and impact resistant. Gypsum really is a very good material for plastering,

The most popular types of Gypsum plaster include White Plaster of Paris Dry Mix, Plaster of Paris, and Flat Venetian Plaster.

Lime Plaster
Lime plaster is the most traditional form of plaster in the British Isles. Its been used since the Romans were here, and has changed little until recently. Its particular benefit is its breathability. It allows moisture to slowly pass through it, from inside the home to outside. Most homes built before 1920 were built to allow this transfer of moisture. It can be disastrous to stop that process. Central heating can hide the effects of stopping a property from breathing, but its not ideal.

Lime is highly durable, and is also flexible, unlike gypsum. This flexibility prevents cracking. Interestingly, lime plaster is a natural fungicide, due to its high pH. This means mould and fungus cannot attach to the plaster. Its an eco-friendly and sustainable product too.

Lime plaster has always been harder to prepare and apply, and this has meant its a more expensive choice. Recently, manufacturers have introduced more high tech versions by adding polymers, making it easier to work with, and thereby making it cheaper. We foresee lime plaster becoming more and more popular over the next decade.

We've worked successfully with the following products over the last year;  Breathaplasta, Hydrated Lime Type, Carmeuse Type S Miracle Morta-Lok Masons Hydrated Lime and QUIKRETE 50lb Hydrated Lime

Stucco (Portland Cement Plaster)
Stucco is a very hard form of plaster, and can be used on both the interior and exterior of your property. Also known as Portland Cement Plaster, stucco is extremely hard and durable, and can last 100 years, if correctly applied. Its hardness does mean its somewhat brittle, and its likely to crack, sooner or later, especially if there is even the slightest movement in the house.

Stucco is usually tinted or coloured, so won't need regular painting to keep it looking fresh. Stucco is not really suitable for amateur plasterers. Its a hard product to apply, but always gives a great result, when a professional is used.

Clay Plaster
You'll love clay plaster. Its extremely eco-friendly and looks very natural, giving a great texture. Its tough and durable, and vapour free, so no nasty fumes to worry about. Its best applied by an experienced professional, as its not like applying gypsum, and its a little more expensive than everyday plaster.

High-Tech Plastering Products
Over the last decade, a large number of high-tech plastering products have been introduced to the market. The aim is to take traditional products and make them even more durable, more flexible and easier to prepare and apply. This has been achieved by adding plastic polymers and acrylics, and is gradually revolutionising the plastering profession.

Plastering Liverpool have been using these products frequently over the last few years. We are more than happy to discuss them and recommend the best choices for your project.

Plaster Repair Work
No job is ever too big or too small, and when we say that, we really mean it. Many companies won't bother with small repairs, but we will be there for you. And that's a promise.

We will fix cracks and holes in your plaster. We will replace blown plaster, and damp-damaged plaster. We will repair the damage left by an electrician, and we are happy to repair and correct the mess left when DIY plastering projects go wrong. We've seen it all, and we promise we'll never criticise or make you feel bad. Everyone has to start somewhere.

If you have any sort of plastering project, please give us a call. We are looking forward to hearing from you. If it involves plastering, we are the people to call. We are always friendly and helpful, and we love plastering.

Give us a call. And lets get plastering.

Great Job

Plastering Liverpool were great. They turned up on time, every day. They were clean and tidy and never played a radio loud, annoying our neighbours, like our last workers did. And they did a great job too.
